Brandon Wilkinson serves as the co-owner of Valor Medical Group. He has 15
years of medical experience as a civilian paramedic, Army Medical Officer, US
Army Flight Surgeon, and Emergency Medicine Physician. He graduated from
UCLA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Anthropology, Lincoln
Memorial University with a Master of Science in Biomedical Professions, and
Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine with a
Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Dr. Wilkinson completed an Emergency
Medicine Residency at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, West
Virginia. Dr Wilkinson is experienced in acute care, trauma service, healthcare
administration, aviation medicine, and telemedicine.
Dr. Abernathy serves as co-owner of Valor Medical Group. He has over 30 years of military and
civilian medical service as a combat medic, civilian and military flight paramedic, Aeromedical
Physician Assistant, US Army Battalion Surgeon/Battalion Flight Surgeon and Senior Flight
Surgeon. He graduated from Carson-Newman University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Biology, The Interservice Physician Assistant Program with a Master of Physician Assistant
Studies degree, and James H. Quillen College of Medicine at East Tennessee State University
with a Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Abernathy completed an internship in General Surgery at
East Tennessee State University and graduated from Family Medicine Residency at the
University of Tennessee-Jackson Family Medicine Residency Program where he served as chief
resident and was awarded the Dr Rush Shellabarger Resident of the Year award. He is board
certified in Family Medicine, and has been deployed in support of Operation Noble Eagle and
Operation Iraqi Freedom with numerous military decorations. Dr Abernathy is experienced in
hospital medicine, acute care, primary care, on work-site clinical care, event medicine,
telemedicine, pre-hospital, and aviation medicine.
